🌸Q&A1(English)🌸
- “Can ‘braille’ and ‘art’ truly be fused?”
“Isn’t braille a form of writing, and therefore a different concept from art? It seems difficult to combine paintings that appeal to sight with braille that is read by touch.”
Answer: “We see ‘braille’ not merely as a form of writing, but as a new ‘medium of expression’ that conveys information and evokes emotion through touch. Inspired by the concept of ‘social view’ that allows visually impaired people to appreciate paintings, we have developed a dialogue process called ‘Sense Building’ between artists and the visually impaired. Through this process, we convert abstract elements such as color, form, emotion, and story into braille and textures that can be perceived by touch, as well as AI-generated visuals. We believe this is an attempt to create a new art experience that appeals to all five senses, independent of sight, thereby expanding the possibilities of art.”
